The Graduate
Education Unit of the University was established in 1990 to enhance the
educational and scientific standards of the institution and to train skilled
specialists. It aims to create conditions that effectively utilize the
resources and facilities available in both the province and the University.
The unit began
its operations by launching programs to train assistants in two clinical
specialties. In response to the University’s
growth, the unit has expanded its postgraduate education offerings to better
meet societal needs. Currently, the University trains assistants and students
in 20 clinical specialties, three clinical subspecialties, two fellowships, 28
master’s degrees, and 16 Ph.D. programs, including research-based options. Additionally,
the introduction of new fields at various levels of postgraduate education is part of the Graduate Education Unit's development plan
